JMK Florist is proud to join the celebration of National Floral Design Day, which is celebrated annually on February 28th. This day honors the creativity and talent of floral designers who have been using flowers to convey messages of love, admiration, and sympathy for centuries. It’s a special day that recognizes the importance of floral design as an art form.
The idea of National Floral Design Day was first proposed by Carl Rittner, founder of the Rittner School of Floral Design in Boston, Massachusetts. Mr. Rittner was passionate about flowers and floral design and believed that they were an essential part of human expression. He wanted to create a day to recognize and celebrate the artistry and skill of floral designers and to promote the importance of floral design as an art form.
In 1995, Mr. Rittner’s dream became a reality when the governor of Massachusetts proclaimed February 28th as National Floral Design Day. Since then, this day has been celebrated annually around the world, with florists and floral designers showcasing their creativity and skills through various events and competitions.
At JMK Florist, we are proud to be a part of this celebration, with our team of talented and experienced florists who are passionate about their craft. We understand that flowers have a special place in people’s lives, and we strive to create beautiful arrangements that capture the essence of different emotions and messages.
